Apex Legends is a new Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment that is rumoured for release later this week.
The new title will reportedly be set in the Titanfall universe and will be launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
But the most important information confirmed is that Respawn will be announcing exactly what Apex Legends is today.
Rumours circulating this weekend indicate that a new free-to-play game will be launched that will include a class-based Battle Royale experience.
It will be set in the Titanfall universe but will not include the giant robots as part of the gameplay.
Instead, the game will focus on the wall-running pilots and will be available to play later this month.
Most of this remains a rumour for now and the good news is everything will be straightened out today.
Respawn CEO Vince Zampella has announced the start time for the Apex Legends reveal trailer, which will no doubt answer all questions surrounding the mystery project.
This is being held Monday, February 3, on Twitch and will be going live as a stream at 4pm in the UK.
For those in the United States, the Twitch stream will begin at 8am PDT, with no exact information on how long it will run.
“Looks like everything is unlocked now? Fun,” a message from Zampella reads.
“So, if you like Respawn, our games or even me, you should tune in tomorrow.
“Our stream starts at 8am pt and we’ll tell you everything about Apex Legends. Everything.”
No other information was provided apart from the Twitch link, which can be found above.
It appears someone may have broken an NDA before the big announcement was supposed to be made and now everyone who has played the new game is teasing its announcement.
For now, we know that it is a new Battle Royale game from Respawn and that there’s going to be plenty of streamers promoting it this week.
Rumours of a Titanfall game called Apex Legends were initially revealed by YouTuber The Quartering in a post online.
In the video posted on Friday, the YouTuber claimed big name streamers such as Shroud and Dr DisRespect have been invited to test Apex Legends.
And ahead of the rumoured Titanfall battle royale reveal, the streamers had a “day off” for some “super secret stuff”.
The upcoming EA game will allegedly see teams of three players battle it out against other teams with a maximum of 60 players in one match.
Each player in their team will have a specific role to balance things out, with no Titans to call on to help leverage a bad situation.
