Adaptbox – Model: Reineke – The Commander-Allrounder

Adaptbox: Reineke from GreNot-Crafts offers a modular solution that can be flexibly adapted. A deck box that’s more than just storage – it’s a true organizational tool.

Greza & Nothing – The Team Behind GreNot Crafts have launched a Kickstarter to raise funds for their Adaptbox project. Adaptbox is a deckbox with space for 100+ single-sleeved cards (Reineke) or space for 100+ double-sleeved cards (Reineke XL).

What makes the Adaptbox special is its flexible wall system. Players can choose from various modules to customize their box to their exact needs. These include a life counter (1–99), a tracking wheel for effects such as Commander Tax or poison counters, a dice wall for up to 24 dice, and special modules for Commander damage, mana, counters, and token cards.

In addition to organizing cards, the box also offers ample space for cards: It holds over 100 cards, whether single- or double-sleeved. Unused walls can be stored directly inside the box, allowing players to flexibly switch between different configurations. Additionally, there are customizable lids and the “Kumpel & Boi” companion counters, which offer additional tracking functions.

The Adaptbox is made of durable PETG, while some eco-friendly parts are made of PLA. Kickstarter backers can choose between different designs or request a personalized version of the box—within the limits of 3D printing.

If you love Magic: The Gathering in Commander format, things can quickly become chaotic—with tokens, life counters, and dice scattered across the table. The Reineke provides spaces on two sides in which different modular walls can be inserted via slide rails. The various modular walls each cover a certain use-case that best fits the player and their commander.

Having the opportunity to carry two walls for your respective commander deck in a deckbox (that you need anyway), significantly reduces the amount of other gadgets you have to carry to a game night, and also reduces the space you use on the table.

Those who value organization and customization when playing Commander should find the Adaptbox an exciting solution. The Kickstarter campaign offers various support levels and could offer even more customization options with stretch goals.
