For years, they had been thinking about this project. How to do it. When to do it. Then the pandemic hit and they thought it might never happen. As 1985 Games ran back to their basements to hide from the plague, they questioned their existence. Did they make the right choices? Will the world ever learn of their brilliance? Has our dice empire crumbled to the ground before the first brick had ever been laid?
It’s been nearly 2 years since that fateful day and 1985 Games can tell you this much. They have NO CLUE, so they’re just going to wing it and hope for the best!. Every single dice set is hand-poured, polished, and painted. No part of this process is automated, so imperfections or differences in colour can and will happen. This is due to the nature of how they’re crafted and is totally normal. It is impossible to ensure that the dice are identical or look exactly as depicted in our photos. Each set of dice is one of a kind.
These 7 handcrafted video cassette dice will melt through your table. Roll at your own risk. 1985 Games is not liable for any fires or explosions caused by their presence. D20’s are known for rolling excessive crits to the point that you’ll lose your sense of smell.

Risks for this project are relatively small, but some do exist. As the team have seen in the past year, global supply chains are disrupted due to the global pandemic, which can and will affect us in ways we won’t be able to predict. That being said to try and combat delay issues they’ve already purchased the first 500 boxes of each design and they’ve arrived at our Portland office. 1985 Games have also added several months to delivery dates to act as a buffer in case they are faced with unexpected delays.
