Warzone Professional Streamer “IntechsTV” has been banned during an official Call of Duty tournament for $40,000.
A major moment just rocked the competitive Warzone scene — pro streamer IntechsTV was banned during an official $40,000 Call of Duty tournament after RICOCHET Anti-Cheat detected a Cronus device mid-competition. RICOCHET Anticheat was upgraded at the start of Season 2 on Thursday 5th February, and it included a new detection system to combat CRONUS ZEN DEVICES.
With Season 2, Activision rolled out upgraded detection targeting Cronus Zen hardware — devices often criticized for reducing recoil and boosting aim consistency. According to Team RICOCHET, the ban was verified and classified as a direct violation of Call of Duty’s enforcement policy.
Why This Matters
• One of the first high-profile bans under the new system
• Signals a tougher crackdown on hardware-assisted advantages
• Competitive scene could see more sudden removals
• Possible big performance shifts across top players
The streamer was banned during the tournament and Activision responded with this statement.
“Team RICOCHET confirmed that the players removal was the result of a CRONUS DETECTION, which violates Call of Duty security and enforcement policy, this enforcement went live with Season 2, and has been verified by Activision”
I wonder how many more streamers are going to be caught out for using devices that remove recoil and help boost your accuracy and aim assist. It’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks, if you notice anyone’s skill level dropping from this point onwards, they may have been using a device in the past, but have since unplugged it due to fears of being exposed/banned.
