Someone Created Pokemon Snap In A Custom Fortnite Map

Multiple worlds and Pokemon feature in this Snap-influenced Fortnite map.

Fortnite might pull in players with its battle royale but the game offers additional variety with its Creative mode. While Epic has been hard at work developing Fortnite chapter 4 season 1, players continue to work on their own creations with the latest one worth highlighting Pokemon-themed.

Someone known as ArcadeRoomYtbe shared their Pokemon Snap-inspired map on Reddit (thanks PCGamesN). Their map features a ‘Pokegun Museum’ and puzzles for players to solve, but the big draw will be the chance to catch ’em all or rather snap ’em all.

Their Pokemon Snap-inspired map includes 24 Pokemon for players to “catch” with multiple areas each containing six ‘mons. The different “worlds” include the likes of ‘Underwater’, ‘Laboratory’, ‘Volcano’, and ‘River Forest’. Players will need keen eyes to sight all the Pokemon and to catch them. You can get a better idea of their Pokemon Snap museum in the video below:

One key difference between ArcadeRoomYtbe’s Fortnite creation and the original Pokemon Snap is that you won’t be photographically snapping them with a camera but instead firing a proximity grenade launcher at them in order to register to catch them. It’s not quite as chilled as the original then but it is still a more relaxed experience than the battle royale mode as players explore each world and look out for the different Pokemon. Since there’s a selection of them instead of a huge Pokedex there’s some added interest to see which ‘mons ArcadeRoomYtbe decided to include.

Fortnite Creative mode sees players making their own maps and some have been highly impressive. One that stands out in the memory was a creation by one NaoEdwin who made ‘Metal Gear Solid – History mode‘. The Fortnite map includes MGS’ famous Codec conversations, the stealth, the industrial aesthetic, and blizzard conditions of the first Metal Gear Solid game, as well as other aspects of Hideo Kojima’s series. It was an impressively well-crafted homage.
