Just a little Nessie sliding around the World on Water Slides!
Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. Besides studying architecture in Switzerland, Roman Aerni has been producing short videos on Tiktok and Instagram for a successful year. Now he is hoping to fulfil one of his childhood dreams and launch his very own mobile game.
Nessie Slide is about sliding down different water slides around the world with Nessie. So you can expect waterslides next to Big Ben in London or the Statue of Liberty in New York. Later, in addition to the offline levels, there will also be an endless mode and a multiplayer mode in which you can compete with other players. The game itself was inspired by top games such as Waterslide 2, Coaster Crazy Deluxe, Mega Jump and Fall Guys to name just a few. The 3D Game will be in a low-poly style known in games like Clash of Clans. Besides the level design, he also wants to have a great menu, because this is something that is increasingly being forgotten about these day when developing fun mobile games.
You may be wondering why Roman decided to have a Nessie as the main character for the game. One reason is that he always liked it when you had a cute character in a mobile game, like Om Nom in Cut the Rope. The second reason is that under the name “Bottleflip is Life” Roman became a well-known trickshot creator on TikTok and Instagram. Together with his Squeaking Nessie, he got a total of over 500k subscribers. So Nessie became a trademark.
There will be continuous updates with new content. However, the respective Donation Goal must be reached. If the game did well there would be seasonal skins & levels and generally lots of new content in all modes. Roman has a lot of ideas that he thinks would go down well, but does not want to give too much information away at this point. There are already over 45 pages of content written for game development. To begin production of Nessie Slide, Roman is in need of a minimum donation of $25k. The game is being produced in Germany and he wants to bring a high-quality game to the market. Depending on the amount reached, it is faster or slower to add the other modes. You can see the individual Goals below on the stretch map.
All the money raised through this campaign will go towards the production of the game. You can follow the process transparently on the Instagram account @Nessie_Slide. Roman will also add some of this at a later date. The mobile game will be released in the App Store and the Google Play Store.
Depending on the amount donated in this Kickstarter campaign, you will later receive a limited exclusive in-game reward when the project is realised. If you donate a little more, you will also receive the respective rewards of the lower levels directly.
