Combining first-person exploration with third-person point-and-click adventure. Save your sister … or die trying.
Game Geeks News is proud to bring you another great gaming project currently running on Kickstarter. Stasis Booth Games is an independent developer who previously released the game 7th Chance. They are currently working on a New Twist On Horror game called We Are Not Alone – a genre combining horror adventure.
In “We Are Not Alone” you’re able to switch between Third Person Point and Click Adventures, and First Person Horror in order to explore and solve puzzles.
You Will:
- Explore the vast complex, unlock the secrets of the experiment, and ultimately attempt to escape with your life.
- Uncover the mystery behind “The Osiris Initiative”
- Solve puzzles using items found throughout your isolation.
- Encounter a long-lost piece of civilization… that may not be so civil.
Planned platform releases are Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The world may be going to hell, but Riley’s worries extend beyond that.
3 months ago Riley’s Sister applied for a job with the Osiris Initiative, the world leader in medical technology. Despite initially having a way to contact her, daily communications have ceased. Something isn’t right. Attempting to locate her sister by using connections at her job, Riley is fired for gross misconduct with no answers.
Applying to be a test subject with the Osiris Initiative, Riley hopes to gain information on the illusive organization and ultimately find her sister.
That is… if the experiment is as safe as they said.
The Demo for We Are Not Alone is a small slice of the main game set partway through the story. It takes about 25-30mins to play through.
The demo is available on Steam, Epic, and GOG, just click the buttons below for your preferred store. Please note that the MacOS version is only available on Steam and GOG, while Windows is available on all. Linux is only available on Steam.
The release target for We Are Not Alone is listed as Early 2024.
You may see that the release date on Steam is “Q4 2023” though. Why is that?! Because that is the actual target. Stasis Booth Games say they would rather under-promise and over-deliver. As you’re aware with games, delays can happen so Stasis Booth Games would rather you expect the game in early 2024, than have to be upset about a delay.
As much of the core gameplay is completed including characters, systems, story, and detailed project management planning, the time frame is looking good and that is why they believe this can be delivered at the above date.
Andrew is a solo developer who is insanely passionate about games and creating new experiences. His first game “7th Chance” – was released in 2021, and since then has kept playing around with ideas and mechanics.
The plan is to release the game with or without the support of extra funding, but certain features can not be implemented without it.
With the aid of Kickstarter, and you, it would allow Andrew time to add extra features to the game that would make the experience better.
These include:
- Hiring a sound designer + composer to create a complete original soundtrack and sound effects for the game.
- Hiring voice actors to add an extra level of immersion into the game, without having to be reading text the whole time.
Pledges start from as little as $2 which can get you exclusive desktop wallpapers and digital blood in a secret room in the game. There are some higher tiers that offer physical rewards, but add-ons are available for all tiers above the base tier in the form of “We Are Not Alone” backer-exclusive t-shirts, sticker packs, and handmade polymer clay keychains. For a full breakdown of the rewards available, check out their crowdfunding page on Kickstarter.
Due to having these extra add-ons, all tiers are marked as “physical”, even if you will not be receiving a physical product.
