There’s a new Call of Duty season in the works, which includes a new map set in and around a car dealership.

Call of Duty publisher Activision has announced plans to release a new season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Black Ops 6 Season 2 has a January 28 release date on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The new content will be available from 6pm GMT UK time. The huge new content update includes a selection of new maps, as well as the addition of a couple of game modes and new gameplay features.

Needless to say, fans can also expect new rewards as part of the free and paid Battle Pass.

As you can see from the images below, the highlight of the Battle Pass is the addition of a new Operator named Nocturne.

The Operator is just one of 110 rewards available with the Battle Pass, which includes three new Base Weapons, an Underbarrel Crossbow Attachment, new Operator Skins and Weapon Blueprints.

Additional rewards are available as part of the BlackCell Battle Pass, which includes Operator Vortex.

Activision explains more: “Equipped with the latest technological advancements in stealth warfare, the ‘Vortex’ Operator and animated Operator Skin emits black and red smoke from his arms and twin-sword handles.”

Other BlackCell rewards include exclusive skins for Nocturne, Rossi, Marshall, Grey, Stone, and Toro.

You can also expect BlackCell-exclusive Weapon Blueprints for the AK-47, ASG-89 and Feng 82.

As for new content, Season 2 adds the 6v6 Bounty map, 6v6 and 2v2 Lifeline map, as well as the 6v6 Dealership battlefield. Additional maps will be available as part of the mid-season update.

Dealership looks like it could be fun, taking part in and around a car dealership that’s actually a front for a black market arms operation.

Elsewhere, fans can expect the return of the classic Gun Game mode, as well as the launch of the brand new Overdrive mode.

Overdrive is described as a “charged up twist of Team Deathmatch”. Teams win by collecting a specified number of stars, which are awarded for different feats.

You’ll get one star for basic eliminations, two stars for headshots and melee attack kills, and three stars for completing “only the most impressive takedowns”.

New perks include Slipstream, which increases base sprint speed at the cost of removing Tac Sprint. That’s on top of the War Machine Scorestreak, as well as quality of life changes such as superior challenge tracking and unique HUD presets.
