This means that Modern Warfare 2 faces a strong challenge of keeping audiences engaged for two years, possibly leaning harder on post-launch seasonal content updates. These updates bring players content in the way of new operators, weapons, and maps, but many feel they do not provide enough to keep fans engaged. One of the main criticisms of Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer concerns the lack of attention that is being placed on core 6v6 gameplay, which has long been the multiplayer mode most readily associated with the IP.
