Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Player Wins Match Without Doing Anything

One absurdly lucky gamer comes out on top without firing so much as a single bullet in the trio’s playlist of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

In a clip posted to the internet, a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player claimed victory through passivity, letting gravity do the dirty work for them. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 presents players with a wide array of methods to come out on top, but those methods rarely include never having to fire a gun.

Since its November 2022 release, Warzone 2′s live-service model has kept gamers engaged with a consistent release schedule of fresh content. Season 1 ended officially on February 1, and Infinity Ward has correspondingly unveiled its plans for the forthcoming release of Season 2. Arriving on February 15, the most significant addition of Season 2 is the return of fan-favorite Resurgence mode in Warzone 2, which pairs a brand new, smaller-scale map for the mode. Ashika Island will host players who prefer a quicker, more chaotic version of Call of Duty’s take on battle royale. Other additions include a new battle pass, weapons, operators, and cosmetics, as well as a slew of gameplay tweaks, including changes to DMZ and the Gulag.

In a clip posted to Reddit by LargeCrateOfCarling, the last remaining player of a trios team in Warzone 2 becomes the last gamer standing in the whole match. Coming out of the gulag just as it closed, LargeCrateOfCarling snatches a helicopter and begins plotting their endgame. Letting the rest of the combatants wipe each other out while hovering safely in the air, LargeCrateOfCarling soon finds themselves in the slowly encroaching final circle of Warzone 2. Having bided their time until the last possible moment, they eject from the helicopter as the toxic gas envelops the two remaining players. The outlook appears bleak, as the other player opens fire on LargeCrateOfCarling, who is helplessly parachuting to the ground. In a stroke of incredible luck, the discarded helicopter crashes on the head of the player below, killing them and gifting LargeCrateOfCarling with an unforgettable victory.

The clip was celebrated by commenters on Reddit, who made sure to let LargeCrateOfCarling know how cool they were, just like the lead in an action movie, not looking back at the explosion. Other anecdotes on the thread mentioned similar victories in Warzone 2, which may have come as a surprise to LargeCrateOfCarling, who noted they had, “Never seen anything like it before.” Another commenter in the thread, adminswannabanme, summed up the clip perfectly: “It don’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning.”

Warzone 2 is a game that never disappoints with its absurd highlights. The upcoming Ashika Island and the return of Resurgence will undoubtedly bring many players back to the game who may have dropped off sometime after launch. Between the new map, new crossbow weapon, and the returning player base, there will be many clips like LargeCrateOfCarling’s to come.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
