Braxton Cosby is the CEO of CMP and Multi-Award Winning and #1 Amazon Bestselling author, Braxton is a dreamer who transitioned his ideas from pen and paper to pixels and keyboards. He has penned over 16 novels and written several screenplays; many based on his own works. He tells stories that evoke emotions and stimulate thought. THE STARCROSSED SAGA and THE CAPE are currently Young Adult and Superhero series he created, with spins offs for INFINITY 7: GODS AMONG MEN and his latest Bounty Hunter, sci fi release, STEEL REIGN: FLIGHT OF THE STARSHIP CONCORD. THE STARCROSSED SAGA has won multiple science fiction and young adult awards, while THE CAPE has also earned recognition for it’s prowess as a literary fiction series.
Cosby Media Productions (CMP) is a full-service book publishing company that was established in 2012. They offer novels as ebooks, paperbacks, and audiobooks. They obtain sole ownership of intellectual properties, with the goal of eventually developing all projects in-house, into various other realms of entertainment. CMP strives to create content with positive messages that will entertain the mind and inspire the soul.
CMP have published over 60 novels from a stable of more than 40 authors, who have garnered praise from various award outlets including Reader’s Favorite, Literary Titan, CLC International Book Awards, Kindle Book Review, Kirkus Book Review, Blue Ink, LitPick Teen Reviews, and NANOWRIMO.
Their new Imprint Starchild Comics is the visual embodiment of our novels. It represents our venture into the waters of comic books, by using our already established superhero and supervillain worlds to create original stories that will satisfy even the most jaded superhero geeks and nerds. The Cosby Media Productions Dedicated Superhero Universe (CMPDSU) is a collection of over 12 novels with progressing storylines, that follow multiple story arcs of superheroes (they like to refer to them as Super-Normals) written and created by 6 authors. Each one of their stories features unique characters, with compelling origin stories, and imaginative worlds, where readers are instantly swept away. With their successful launch into the realm of novel storytelling, the natural next step was to advance into a more visual experience with comics. Their superhero novels exist in both the same timeline and world. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that they’ve followed the blueprint of so many successful companies before them, by stringing these individual branching stories together, much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Funding of this project will not only empower Braxton and CMP to publish some fantastic comics but will also assist in probably the most important cog in the wheel of success – marketing. Getting these comics in the hands of libraries, review boards, stores, and most importantly, readers is vital!.
The CMP team of authors works magic with words, not with pencils and ink. Therefore, it was essential for them to recruit the right team for the job in bringing these tales to life. Their recent partnership with Fantasy Art Comics was the critical part of the master plan. This crafty team of artists are the creators of the uber-successful FIERCE comic. Artists Clement Romain, Anthony Sanders, and Raymon Sanders handle all productions from pencils, ink, dialogue, and colour. Once we got a glimpse of their talent, they didn’t hesitate to bring them on board and hand over the reins of our beloved franchises. Fantasy Arts Comics is equally dedicated to the task of drafting and mastering the digital representation of the characters, settings, and worlds of our dedicated superhero universe that we know and love. Comic Synopses:
THE CAPE: HELLFIRE
Following the events of INFINITY 7: Gods Among Men, we find Sebastian (a.k.a. Paladin) being visited by a strange traveler who promises to hold the secret to finding his deceased girlfriend Karla (the Blurr). Sebastian, hurt and desperate for answers, is mortally wounded by her loss and is willing to do anything to try to fill the void in his heart, even if it means staring down the barrel of despair. After listening to the news from the stranger, his concern for what the future may promise is overshadowed by the thought of being reunited by his first love and he is compelled to follow his heart on a quest to bring her back from the void of death – with the sacrifice of his own life as the potential penance. Accompanied by Thief, they are united with the all-knowing Super-Normal known as Zenith – who although has vowed to not get involved in the toils of men – surprisingly agrees to guide them across the galaxy to unearth the clues which will hopefully lead them to the hidden realm of Hellfire where souls are kept in a state of purgatory rest. This desolate place is rumored to be run by a ruthless, time-bending celestial being named Ghazi who will offer the ultimate test against Paladin’s 4 Super-Suit Variants and Thief’s spectacular power leaching gifts. But once the ultimate truth is revealed, will this duo have enough fortitude to withstand the onslaught of the unknown and reunite their trio of Super-Normals once again and defy death itself?
MENZUO: WAR ON THE HOMEFRONT
As the universe tries to recover from the Banorbenga plague, Earth has become home to many alien life forms. The Dark Spores accident in Hero City continues to take its toll, spreading through the world and increasing the number of Super-Normals exponentially. This has done nothing but exacerbate the fear of humans beings, along with their concerns of Super-Normal uprisings and the inevitable decimation of all mankind. Thus, the creation of the radical, hate-monger group known as the Cast Aways, who want nothing more than to rid the planet of any beings possessing supernatural powers, chanting the phrase, “Humans must remain the dominant race!” The evil Pirate Warrior Havoc returns to Earth to destroy Menzuo and the Solar Warriors, but he is not alone. Traveling with a swarm of Pirate Drones, an all-out war looms within the city of Springfield, MA, interrupting the Cast Aways’ protest. As hated as they are, Menzuo, Allucio, and Desmurose must protect the planet they now call home along with the people that both revere and hate them at the same time. As the battle for supremacy rocks the city, an unexpected warrior enters the fray. Now, only more questions remain – Is the visitor friend or a foe? And furthermore, will Menzuo and his team finally bring peace to the planet, or is this just the beginning of the end?
METATRON: TERROR AT THE TRACK
Anticipating a long-awaited time of relaxation, Tyler (a.k.a. Metatron), along with his friends, finally plans a weekend vacation at the Speedway. Within the first several hours, Metatron senses danger, and their enjoyment quickly fades when a horrific accident slowly unravels right before their eyes. With mere seconds to spare, Metatron makes short work of the catastrophe and saves thousands of unknowing spectators. Nonetheless, when all appears to be back to normal, the immoral Black Shadow and his vile Henchmen emerge, wreaking havoc on the city. Without hesitation, Metatron is thrust into duty once more, armed with his Mystical Blade and spectacular assortment of superpowers, to save humanity — before thousands of people are brutally injured or even, or worse, massacred.
BARK: POWER STRUGGLE
The United Nations has handed control of the International Defense Network to Marshal Dae, a man who seems to harbour limitless bigotry toward any Super-Normal. The moment he takes control, the IDN is disbanded and super-villains across the world launch simultaneous attacks against high-profile targets to send panic and fear throughout the planet. Bark, Snow, and Spark are sent to IDN headquarters to investigate what is happening and put an end to the madness before millions are destroyed. But as fate would have it, the moment they set foot on the island, their hopes quickly turn to dread with the realization that the situation is indeed worse than they could have ever imagined as the IDN shut down, necessitating a virtual miracle to restore it. And before the team even considers a recourse, they’ll have to answer two more important questions – how are the villains so coordinated, and what exactly is Marshal Dae up to?.

This 22 page, full-colour comics will expand on the novels, and further build our vast world of superhero stories, with connecting paths that bridge critical story details beyond words and narratives.
