Although Wargroove players on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC have been able to play alongside each other for some time now, one party missing from the battle was the PlayStation 4.
As with all cross-play titles, it’s all tied to the Sony’s restrictive stance on this feature, which it now appears to be loosening. We’ve seen this in the past with games like Rocket League, and as of today, Wargroove players across all platforms – including the Switch, will be able to play with PS4 users, as this particular platform has finally received the Double Trouble downloadable content (see above).
If you haven’t tried out Wargroove yet, it’s worth a look if you’re a fan of certain Intelligence Systems classics. We praised it in our nine out of ten star review:
As far as strategy games are concerned on the Switch, Wargroove is one of the best titles you can find on the eShop.
Cross-play supports both competitive and cooperative multiplayer and also allows users to share community-made maps with each other. Will you be teaming up with your friends on PlayStation 4? Tell us down below.
