The new Fortnite season will launch following the imminent Death Star Sabotage event.
Fortnite fans are gearing up for the start of a brand new season, which according to leaks, has a superhero theme. While there’s no exact launch date and time, Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3 will launch at some point after this weekend’s Death Star Sabotage event on June 7.
While Epic Games is expected to reveal more during the Summer Game Fest presentation at 10pm BST on June 6, fans have already been treated to a series of leaks about the new season.
According to Fortnite insider Shiina, the codename for the new season is “Super”. This ties into earlier leaks about a superhero theme.
As you can see from the tweet below, new Battle Pass skins include Superman and Batman’s trusted sidekick Robin.
It’a all part of the Superhero Academy theme, which includes new points of interest, mythic powers and items.
Indeed, Superman is said to have a special Mythic, which is a powerful ability that players will be able to use during battles.
New points of interest, meanwhile, are said to include the Supernova Academy and Utopia City.
In addition to various superheroes, long-running Fortnite character Midas is also said to be part of the next season.
Elsewhere, new items are said to include the Wingshot Grappler, the Spire Rifle, Myst Gauntlets, Killswitch Revolvers and Deadeye DMR.
That’s on top of the Enhanced Spire Rifle, Hyperburst Pistol, Kor’s Deadeye DMR, Unstable Frostfire Shotgun, Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol and Unstable Yoink Shotgun.
It’s also believed that superhero dog Krypto will also join the game as the first companion pet.

The new season will launch after the upcoming Death Star Sabotage event on June 7. The Fortnite Death Star Sabotage event has a 7pm BST start time for fans living in the UK. That’s 2pm ET for fans living in the US.
According to Epic Games, the end of season event will see players rally against Emperor Palpatine and the Death Star.
“At Emperor Palpatine’s command, the Death Star’s superlaser is charged and ready to decimate the Battle Royale Island.
“But there’s still hope! Join the fight in the Season-ending live event Death Star Sabotage on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2 PM ET!”
Needless to say, Fortnite live events are extremely popular, which means Epic Games recommends logging in early to avoid any matchmaking queues and delays.
