Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to Solve the Bindery Lithographic Stones Puzzle

0

RE4 remake is chock-full of challenging puzzles, but the Bindery Lithographic Stones puzzle is one of the hardest to solve.

Resident Evil 4 remake follows Agent Leon S. Kennedy on his journey to track down the president’s missing daughter, Ashley Graham, and rescue her from a terrifying cult. Shortly after arriving at his destination, Leon becomes separated from his comrades and is forced to continue his mission alone until he can locate Ashley.

Resident Evil 4 remake is chock-full of challenging puzzles for players to complete, and the Lithographic Stones puzzle encountered during Chapter 8 is arguably one of the most challenging. Players will be forced to solve this puzzle if they wish to proceed deeper into The Castle, but doing so is easier said than done.

Where to Find the Lithographic Stones Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Upon beginning Chapter 8 in Resident Evil 4 remake, the player will need to walk past the Merchant and drop down into the red-lit area below, where they will need to defeat the Red Monk overlooking the area to acquire the Crimson Flame lantern. This area is crawling with enemies who are made even more dangerous due to the Red Monk’s presence, so players should prepare themselves before initiating the battle.

The Merchant can be interacted with to upgrade and purchase weapons, and the Typewriter next to him can be used to save the game, so the player should ensure to make use of both before proceeding.

Having obtained the Crimson Flame lantern, Leon can place it on the hook next to the door in the initial hall he dropped into to open the way forward to the Bindery, wherein he will be faced with the Lithographic Stones puzzle.

How to Solve the Lithographic Stones Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

In order to begin solving the Lithographic Stones puzzle, Leon will first need to locate the stone tablets needed to solve it. Thankfully, these stones can be found pretty easily by simply exploring the Bindery and, once they have been located, they can be collected and inserted into the empty slots on the wall.

The first stone tablet can be found in the bookcase just left of the puzzle itself, the second can be found on top of the chest next to the door Leon entered the room through, and the third can be seen in the glass cabinet opposite where the puzzle wall is. To acquire this third tablet, Leon will need to break the cabinet’s glass.

In order to open the way forward, these tablets need to be placed in their corresponding slots, which can be a little tricky, seeing as each stone tablet has two unique sides. To solve the Lithographic Stones puzzle, Leon must place the hexagon orange knight helmet in the leftmost slot, the square orange shield in the top slot, the black hexagon chest plate in the bottom slot, and the black square sword in the rightmost slot.

Once all the stone tablets have been inserted into their correct slots, the wall will move, allowing Leon to delve deeper into The Castle.

Resident Evil 4 remake is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
