Solo developer and tattoo artist Vincent Penning announced Grumpy Jack, a whimsical, Halloween-themed bullethell action-adventure inspired by classic Zelda design and the crooked charm of Tim Burton–style worlds.

Blending fast-paced bullethell combat with light exploration and metroidvania-inspired progression, Grumpy Jack offers a brief but memorable adventure designed to be completed in 3–4 hours. Players can expect a tightly crafted experience with a friendly price tag, perfect for a cozy autumn playthrough.
In Grumpy Jack, players step into a comical, haunted world filled with eccentric enemies, expressive bosses, and playful dialogue. Combat is frantic yet approachable, marrying classic top-down adventure gameplay with screen-filling projectile patterns that reward clever movement and timing.
