Fortnite developer Epic Games has released another update for Battle Royale.
Just days removed from the bumper 8.01 update, Epic has returned with a much smaller patch aimed at fixing a specific issue.
According to the Twitter patch notes, the new Fortnite update fixes stability issues on PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Nintendo Switch and Android.
But the best news of all is that absolutely no downtime will be required. Just login, download the patch and continue playing.
“We just deployed a patch for fix some stability issues,” reads an Epic tweet. “No maintenance needed but you will need to download it after your match or the next time you launch your game.”
It’s likely the update addresses some of the problems that cropped up after the release of update 8.10.
The Baller vehicle headlined Tuesday’s huge Fortnite update, which also included free vending machine items and lots more.
The Baller was unveiled within the in-game newsfeed, complete with a hint about what to expect.
“Keep the good times rolling! Combine your boost and grapple to perform unbelievable feats with the newest vehicle addition to Battle Royale!”
Vending Machines now give out free items, but only once before they disappear.
The Getaway LTM also makes a return to the action, so take advantage of this limited event before it ends.
The Getaway is one of Fortnite’s most beloved limited time game modes, having last appeared all the way back in Season 5.
Teams win by grabbing a jewell and transporting it back to a waiting van without getting killed.
Getaway rewards will also be available by completing special LTM challenges.
The release of update 8.10 also resulted in some interesting new leaks.
In addition to a host of new skins, some fans discovered plans for a new St Patrick’s Day event.
Based on files found within the update, only green (uncommon) items will be found within chests.
Only the buried treasure will provide players with rarer loot. With St. Patrick’s Day taking place this Sunday (March 17), expect the event to go live around that time.
