Fortnite Season 8 is creeping up fast, which means there isn’t long left to unlock a free Battle Pass.
Players must complete 13 Overtime challenges by February 27 to score a free Battle Pass for Season 8.
“Everyone who completes 13 free Overtime Challenges by February 27 will receive the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for FREE!” reads an Epic blog post.
“If you don’t have an outfit, now is your chance to get several for free.
“With the Battle Pass, you’ll receive two Season 8 Outfits instantly and you can earn up to five more. Save your V-Bucks, this one’s on us!”
Challenges include visiting named locations, searching supply drops and placing top 10 in squads.
You’ll also be rewarded for outlasting 75 opponents in a single match, and for thanking the bus driver.
Most of the challenges are pretty straightforward, but there are one or two that might prove tricky if you don’t know where to look.
To Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands players must first enter the Creative game mode and then explore the featured community creations – which change daily. You’ll need 15 coins to complete the challenge, but you can collect these across multiple islands.
The Deal damage to opponents with Assault Rifles or Pistols is pretty self explanatory and shouldn’t take long if you land at hot spots like Tilted. The same goes for the Deal damage to opponents with Shotguns or SMGs challenge.
Search chests or ammo boxes at a motel or an RV park can be completed by visiting said locations that are marked with treasure chests on the map above. I’ve also marked the Search chests or ammo boxes at The Block location with a chest and the race track and dance club for the Search chests or ammo boxes at a racetrack or a dance club challenge.
There are lots of campfires scattered around for the Regain health from a campfire in different matches challenge, and I’ve marked five of them in the map above. You only need to visit three.
The Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend challenge is also pretty straightforward, unless you tend to play Fortnite solo. You can potentially combine it with the Revive a player in different matches challenge – although the latter is easier when playing with bigger squads.
You’ll also need to rope in a friend to complete the Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend and Play matches of Driftin’ with a friend challenges.
Visit different Named Locations is another easy one. Just land in a different named location over 10 different games and you’ll complete the challenge.
Search a Supply Drop in different matches is self-explanatory, although you probably won’t come across one in every match. Just be patient and take care on approach.
To Thank the Bus Driver in different matches just press down on the d-pad if you’re on PS4, Xbox One or Switch. PC users can press the B button, while mobile users can use the emote option.
If you want to Outlast 75 opponents in a single match you can probably do this by flying under the radar and staying out of hot spots and within the storm circle.
You’ll also need to visit seven different Waterfalls to complete one of the Overtime challenges. We’ve marked the Waterfall locations on the map below.
